Annihilation: Rescattering Corrections *
Top quark pair production close to threshold at a next linear col-lider is discussed, with special focus on the influence of rescattering corrections. Numerical results are shown for the differential cross-section, i.e. the momentum distribution and the forward backward asymmetry, and for moments of the angular distribution of leptons arising from the semileptonic top quark decay.

We present a new study of polarized elastic muon-electron scattering. The Born cross-section is calculated for arbitrary polarization of muon and electron. The complete photonic O(α) radiative corrections are determined for the case of longitudinally polarized muons and electrons. All calculations are done by two methods: semianalytic, which allows an implementation of the experimental cuts use...
متن کاملOn radiative corrections for unpolarized electron proton elastic scattering
A statistical analysis of the elastic unpolarized electron proton scattering data shows that, at large momentum transfer, the size and the ǫ dependence of the radiative corrections, as traditionally calculated and applied, may induce large correlations of the parameters of the Rosenbluth fit, which prevent a correct extraction of the electric proton form factor. Using the electron QED structure...
متن کاملElastic Rescattering in the Strong Field Tunneling Limit.
High precision measurements of helium photoelectron energy and angular distributions for a broad intensity range reflect the change in the continuum dynamics that occurs as the ionization process evolves into the pure tunneling regime. Elastic rescattering of the laser-driven free electron from its parent ion core leaves a distinct signature on the spectra, providing a direct quantitative test ...
متن کاملSU(N) Elastic Rescattering in B and D Decays
The treatment of elastic final state interactions (FSI) under a symmetry group is presented. The proposed method is based on Watson’s theorem, i.e. on symmetry properties of the S-matrix and on its unitarity. This theorem provides an easy way to introduce rescattering effects by defining final state interactions mixing matrices. A symmetry group fixes the structure of such mixing matrices, and ...
